Bulls of  Limousine breed are one of the most popular in the beef cattle industry. They are well suited for fattening in stables. Their structures are compact, the meat is tender with good taste and low fat.

  • Height of the bulls is 135-140 cm, chest circumference is 187-193 cm

  • Live weight of full-grown bulls is 1,000-1,100 kg, some breeding bulls reach 1,300 kg

  • Daily weight gain is 800-1,000 grams and up to 1,500 grams

  • Slaughter yield of meat from 65% and higher

  • The weight of calves after the suckling period at the age of 3-4 months is 140-170 kg, and slaughter yield is 67.5%

  • The weight of calves after a three-month suckling period and intensive fattening up to 10 months is 400-500 kg

  • The weight of young bull-calves at the age of 14 months is 570 kg

  • Slaughter yield for bull-calves at the age of 18 months is 68-70%

  • Muscle / fat ratio = 7

  • Muscle / bone ratio = 4.7

  • Fat content in meat is 7-10% 

  • Protein content in meat is 19-20%.
