SIMMENTAL BREED

Simmental breed

A distinctive feature of the Simmental breed is the good combination of dairy and meat productivity, whereas the main characteristic feature of beef type Simmental is the high daily weight gain during the whole fattening period.

Breeding work in different countries of the world develops in two different directions. First, to breed Simmental beef type cattle with developed meat qualities, where the purebred cattle of European selection is used, i.e. Germany or France. Second, to use Simmental beef type cattle in crossbreeding to increase beef qualities of other breeds, i.e. United States, Canada, Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, and some other countries.

SIMMENTAL BREED IS A GOOD COMBINATION OF DAIRY AND MEAT PRODUCTIVITY
